- It's All About The ZEN!
On the path to spiritual awakening A well loved monk once said that he wasn't “AWARE,” until he wasn't thinking that much any more. He interpreted this as a place of NO THOUGHT. In this space, a peaceful energy arises, as it can only arise because the density of the mind is no longer there. Yes, there is something, but not the DENSITY. There was less thinking. This simple yet powerful teaching works for many people because the old mind patterns subside, and the new consciousness arises. Although it may not happen in one moment, it is for most people the process, the awakening is when presence awakens. In this spacious stillness, a knowing wisdom arises that allows the universe to breath through you, for you, and as you. There is an awakening, a surrender to the vast potential of who you are. A deeper sense of self comes to the foreground, and we begin to experience the true magnificence of our Beingness. The Practice: Sit comfortably and keep your spine as straight as possible. At no time should you feel uncomfortable. Close your eyes and for a moment allow yourself to adjust to this inside space. Begin to place your attention on your natural breath pattern. Notice where you feel the breath arising in your body. Everyone is different so just notice where you most naturally sense the breath in you. Place your attention on the inhale and the exhale. It is a mystery where the breath begins and where the exhale goes. Just follow along and begin to soften around any controlling of the breath that you may find yourself attempting. Allow your body to settle into stillness, a spaciousness beyond form. Here is where we become aware of No Thought. Just a presence of our deeper self. It is a sense of light, of formlessness, of great awareness. An awakening, a new life, a divine observance of the magnificence of who we are. Bringing this awareness more and more into our daily lives, is the beginning of living and manifesting from a place of No Thought, pure awareness, we start to awaken. **************
